Hello and welcome—I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Dr. Margreet Barnardt, a Midwife Specialist, educator, and passionate advocate for gentle, woman-centered care.

My journey began over two decades ago when I founded the Healthy Mom and Baby Clinic in Jeffreys Bay. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside countless families as they welcome their little ones. Today, I lead Birth & Baby, building on a legacy of compassionate care while helping parents navigate pregnancy and birth with clarity and peace of mind.

Alongside my academic journey—which includes a PhD focused on scaling up midwife-led care in South Africa—I am a competitive longboard surfer. Surfing for South Africa on the world stage earned me the nickname the "Surfing Midwife," and it continues to remind me of the power of trust, patience, and working with nature.
